Junior Presentation - Awards
A Presentation was held at Lakewood on 21 September to congratulate all the players who represented the club in the 9s to 15s male and female competitions.
President Matt Brady thanked all players and their parents for their efforts in 2007 and said he hoped to see them all back next year. He mentioned that the club had appointed appointed its first 3 Life Members at its Senior Presentation the week before. Gavin Stewart our first player to reach 25 years service and Kevin Boyle and Brian Peddie, both of whom have been actively involved with the club for many years. Special mention to the 9Fs who won the award for best performed team in the entire club after being undefeated during the entire season including the grand final.
Our 10Bs also did very well earning a draw after extra time in the grand final but being made runners up on a countback.
Our W14Bs received the association medals as the most improved team in their grade during the course of the season.
A number of players received very important awards for 5 and 10 years service with the club. Details are in a separate item "Loyalty Awards" on this site.
